चुनाव आयोग की वेबसाइट पर जाकर आपको न्यू रजिस्ट्रेशन के ऑप्शन पर क्लिक करना है। इसके बाद आपके सामने एक पेज खुलेगा जिसमें चाही गई जानकारियां आप भरें। इसके बाद आपको यहां पर अपना सफेद बैकग्राउंड वाला पासपोर्ट साइज का कलर फोटो भी डाउनलोड करना है।

यदि कलर वोटर आईडी के ऑनलाइन भरे गए फॉर्म में कुछ गलती रह गई हो तो आप उसें चेंज कर सकते हैं। ये चेंजेज आप फॉर्म भरने के 15 दिन तक कर सकते हैं। इसके अलावा आप अपने वोटर आईडी कार्ड का एप्लीकेशन का स्टेटस भी चेक कर सकते हैं।

कलर वोटर आईडी कार्ड के लिए ऑनलाइन फॉर्म भरने के बाद उसमें अटैच किए गए दस्तावेजों को चेक करने के लिए आपके घर पर आपके एरिया का बूथ लेवल ऑफिसर आएगा। वो आपके इन डॉक्यूमेंट्स की कॉपी को वेरिफाई करने के लिए ले जाएगा। इसके बाद 1 महीने के अन्दर पोस्ट द्वारा वोटर आईडी कार्ड आपके घर पहुंच जाएगा।
